Blast Door Art

This website article pays tribute to blast door art. Basically, these are pictures from blast doors inside decommissioned nuclear missile silos. The silos were manned by 2 man crews 24/7. I guess, in their free time, some of them painted.

It was this kind of attitude that won the cold war, unlike the spaghetti-spined, European-like mindset that exists today.

Hey mountain man. We had one of these missile silos south of my families hometown of Sentinel, Ok. You never knew it was there because it was all underground. You could get within about 600 yards of it. Delivering a warhead to anywhere in the world, it was so unassumming. Dirk

Love it! I also like seeing the things they write on bombers and missiles. Maybe some of those guys should be running for president?
